Amazed

This process of blogging is really an amazing opportunity for us. Getting the chance to see what Kofi, Nelson, Sojourner, MLK Jr., Dred Scott, and everyone else wrote was incredible.

I have two questions for today:

1. The African National Congress formed out of hopes to stop apartheid. After 20 years, memebers were frustrated. Why? (1 paragraph)

2. Nelson Mandela is a powerful leader who inspired black South Africans to fight against injustice and apartheid. If you had a chance to meet him, what would you say to him? (2 paragraphs)

kofi-anne-question 1-If i was was a member of the national congress i would be fustrated because after 20 years and nothing happend i would be preety mad because that means some people must have not been doing there Jobs and there system was failing now matter how much apperance they were makeing it just wasnt working out for them at all.
question2-if i was to meet neson mandala then i would ask him a few qeustions on how he became preisadent and what he did that was so great that he stop apartied sopposedly for good . I also think that it was emazeing how he was able to get those people back off of there feet from those treible things that that the white erouropean men had done to them

Whats happening this is justice here.

The memebers of the ANC(African national congress)were upset because when they were doing all of these things, they probably never realized that they were losing more and more people to these actions. they also didn't realized that they were running low on ideas and they probably lost there best people that came up with all the ideas that they followed.

Marcus Garvin
They were so upset because after 20years!!!Still nothing happened,so people in the group, just got mad and hit the road like Jack.

What a wonderful experience it would be to meet Mr.Mandela.I would first greet him when I see him. Then I would tell him thank u,for making that choice to be a powerful leader, who inspired real black South Africans to fight against injustice and apartheid. Now at least u paved a path that black people could follow,so that today Febuary 13,07 they can have something great to live for. Also,Mandela I have read your studies and books, and I must say that I am quiet pleased with it.Later on I plan to do reasearch paper on you and I pray that I will get a highhhhhhhh score! But I just wanted to say that keep up the good work.P3AC3!!!!

Members of the club was fustrated because nothing was working. They tried protests but that didnt work. Day after day finally got tiring. But 1 man named Nelson Mandela never gave up.They even wrote letters to the government. But africans were'ent free.Mandela was'nt a follower he was a leader because he kept on fighting and he succeded in his fight for freedom.

If i had a chance to meet Nelson Mandela i would ask him how did it feel in your fight for freedom. Also i would tell him about my fight to wear clothes that is comfortable to us. In addition ask him some questions about fighting for something. Also how i thank him for helping free africans and stay gold like Jhonny from The Outsiders said.
Sincerly,Davone Mccord

what up its dolores huerta here 24/7 and im chillin.

they were frusttrated because no change was hapening over the past 20 years also change was not happening because of the afrikaners and how they were taking over their country.

i would first introduce myself and inform him that he has helped in some ways no change was happenning but he could work harder to actually make a change actually happen.

i think that you can make kids see you as a role model and want to be like you when they grow up.

If i had the chance to met nelson mandela, to tell the truth i would pass out because nelson mandela is like one of the best african amercian in all of black history.

i would like to ask him a few questions like when you were fighting for your freedom and others weren't you scared and did you have night mares about the white man or goverment coming and taking you away from your family and they forbid you see your family again.

you are a great leader you really help the black people out alot.you really need to keep on fighting injustice because if you don't a lot of things will start to happen.keep it up.

That there protest was not working. Nothing was working for them and what they were doing. There speech were also were not woking out for what they were doing.

msjacobexplore said...

wat up my name is fredrick d

they were fustrated because nothing was happening. they did speeches. they did protest, but nothing work. thats just wrong they ask the goverment for help and the protestrs dont get any support.

what i would say to him " if you became president of south africa. how come u cant just take things into your own hands. i mean u are higher than the goverment. im just saying."

why cant u fire the goverment? all i am saying is just rust your people. thats what i think.

this what i would say to nelson mandela.

msjacobexplore said...

Truth:I think that the members were frustrated because nothing was happening. After 20 year apartheid was still going on. Even when speechs were being said and they had Nelson Mandela, people were still digging mines and South Africans were even going to jail because they were fighting for their country. People were still living in town ships and they were still treated like dogs. They were at the same level that they were before. There was no change. 2. If I had a chance to meet Nelson Mandela I would say How did you do it/ How were you able to do what no man would do? Why did you do it? Was the freedom of your country more important to you?I would want to know HI

msjacobexplore said...

Hello my name is freedom, and the national congress formed out hopes to stop apartheid. But after 20 years members were fusterated because no change was happing and there protest were not working and there speeches were also not working.

Hello my name is freedom and if i saw Nelson mandela i would say mr.mandela you are doing a great job of trying to stop apartheid with all these plans and the way you inspired black south africans andthat you really was an inspiring powerful leader.

Second i would say if you were those people right now what would you do to stop apartheid and help your people get out of there

msjacobexplore said...

hi my name is hope
1.The reason why they were frustratedis because they wanted something to happen. But the government didn't do anything.but after the apartheid was over peop-le started started o get HIV and AIDS.
2.What I would say is that how I appreciate your work for stopping aparthied to keep spreadindaround all over africa. ALSO thatI love all over.

Finally that I would say what would you do for what is happening with HIV is so sad.ALSO about aids.

msjacobexplore said...

Hi it's me Freedom Writer. I think that the members of the African National Congress were frustrated after twenty years because they were not getting know where with what they were doing. They were protesting giving speechs and nothing was changing. They were probaly saying that they took all this time out of thier days to do nothing. Also they were frustrated because their protests and boycotting, etc didn't help stop apartheid.
If I had a chance to meet Nelson Mandela I would say alot of things to him. What I would say is that he did good on fighting for apartheid. All your hard work has paid off (except some). Sudan is in apartheid. Please could you help your people again.
Nelson I want to thank you for all you have done for your people of South Africa. Love you and would like to be you someday.

msjacobexplore said...

what it is this is Ruby Bridges here.
members were frustrated because the african national congress started but stopped helping their community.and one more thing may black and white people hold hands and unite.
===================================
Question 2
if i met nelson mandela i thank him for getting black people and white people where they are today.
i also want to know do u have any friends of the white persuation.

msjacobexplore said...

Hi this is Love. It did'nt work because they were powrless. Another reason why because they were not able to turn into a big group. They were basically a group of people who wanted to stand up for their rights. That's why they were fustrated.

msjacobexplore said...

Hola mi @migo!!!!!It's Dred Scott again. They were frustrated for these following reasons. Nothing had changed. There was still racicsm. Poverty too!!!!!!!

If I had a chance to meet Nelson Mandel@ it would be so cool! Of course I would introduce myself. Also, I would say how i'm going to help him stop prejudice. He has been trying his best to help his people. I would also ask him for his autograph. Maybe he could sign my "STOP APARTHEID" t-shirt. You are an amazing man to all of us!

msjacobexplore said...

Hi this is Love. If i had a chance to meet Nelson Mandela i would ask if he was born with this courage. Another thing i would say to him is how were you treated in jail? I would also say how amazing you are to us 6th graders. I would also be kind of star struck.

Another thing i would say is how was it being president of South Africa? I would also say to him how in my class we are learning about Apartheid. I would also say how is life been? I would ask are you rich? Do you still stand up for your'e rights.

Hi my name is Pablo Neruda. The people are fustrated because the NCP said they was going to stop apartheid and they did nothing to help. I think they should of did something because apartheid is very bad and it need to stop because people are dieing over this and losing teir homes IT NEED TO STOP!!!!!!!! If I I ever meet Nelson Mandela I will say thank you so much for stopping apartheid in Africa because it was so hard for people in Africa.

msjacobexplore said...

If I was to meet nelson mandela I will recomend him. For all the things he did to stop apthied in south africa. In addition for being a Noble Peace Prize winner for trying to make peace. If i had the appertune itime to speak to you I will ask you . What made you want to get involved in such a thing? Has this affected you when you were younger?

msjacobexplore said...

hello my name is Thurgood Marshall the African National Congress said that they would stop apartheid but nothing is happneing were frustrated because you said ypu was going to stop it.Now everything over thier is worst i hope you do something before it to late.

Yo whats good its your boy dr.martin luther king jr. I just came drop whats hot today like we on the hotline. I like I said last time me and Nelson is very cool friends. I grew up with him. Me and him went to school called Explorer. I didn' like it but it was smart teachers that gave up good grades. Nelson and me been through good and bad together. Guess what no matter what we had each other back and always respected each other. There is two questions i am going to answer and my opinion on the last one I am going to give my questions that I didn't ask when I was at his last speech.

The reson why the aficans was mad was because they had no reaon to beleive in nonaparteid. The ANC took to long because they did it in a non violent way and the whites just didn't do nothing it is not effecting them in no way.

First,One of my questions is who made you want to do all that powerfull stuff? Second, how did you get your education when aparteid was going on and you had the worst teachers? In addition,How did the HUNDREDS of people you help turned into at least MILLIONS of people?

msjacobexplore said...

Hi,My name is Langston Hughes.

One reason the members got tired of it is that the goverment didn't do anything for 20 years straight. another reason why the members got tired of this is because that the goverment didn't tell what to do to stop apartheid.

''Hi Nelson Mandela my name is Langston Hughes.I have read a million facts about you my good man .I read on how you helped MILLIONS of Africans to free all of them from apartheid.''

''It is amazing that you won the Nobel Peace Prize.''

1)Wat up! Im Toni Morrison! The reason why the A.N.C. had people fustrated with them was because they did not take as much action as they explained they would. For example, after the aparthied many diseases like H.I.V that leads to A.I.D.S were spread around, also the were still very short on money and that caused poverty. there were no electricity and there was dirty water. That is why the people were up set and started talking about the A.N.C.
2)If I had a chance to meet Nelson Mandela, i would have alot to say to him. First I would like to say thank you to him for EVERY THING because with out him accomplishing the goals he had to help us, we black people and myself would not be able to do half the things, infact none of the things we are doing now. So first, I would deffinently say THANK YOU!

msjacobexplore said...

W.E.B
THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS IS FRUSTARTED BECAUSE NOBODY IS TRYING TO STOP APARTHEID.ALSO THEY ARE FRUSTARTED BECAUSE THE THE LIVING CONDITIONS ARE VERY POOR.

IF I WAS TO MEET NELSON MANDELA
I WOULD ASK HIM ALOT OF QUESTIONS LIKE:WHERE YOU MAD WHEN YOU HAD TO GO TO JAIL.DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING FROM GOING TO JAIL.

msjacobexplore said...

Hi,Truth speaking:2.{continue}I would want to know do you believe that god helped you through?
I would say good job. You have accomplish what no other man would risk their live in do. You showed that you love your country to do that. In return your country made you Priedent of South Africa. What goes around come around . To me your turned that commet into a good one. You were defiant to the whites rules and it paied off. Go Nelson Mandela!!!!!!!!!!!You made it!!!!!!!!!! Your country can rest in peace{after you recover}.

1.the national congress was fustrated because no matter how much they tried they always end up with the same old stuff and no matter how hard they fight they not gonna let the man (nelson mandela) or pay attention to them and what they have to say

2.i would tell Nelson thanks for fighting for whats right because aparteid was not write and segragation was not write espically

msjacobexplore said...

sojourner truth life for mandel was horrible trust me it isn't the life i would want to live. his jail cell was 7 by 7 and wasd lit byb a forty -watt buld. there was only one mat and 2 blankets. he was awakened at sunrise and washed and shaved with cold water. now when it comes to food they only at tasteless porridge which by the way must have tasted nasty.

Mndela was a fighter not verbally but mentally because he wrote a book and when those in jail claimed he had cancer he kept going and he was later released.

I think mandela has missed life because heis in jail for life and 5 years what else could he do until he is released and well. He had to do all this hard labor that no one else would do. It doesn't seem fair,we all know that but it wasn't their right to say they wanted to stop well i guess this is goodbye!
